What we're known for
Seven things we do properly.
Most optical shops will sell you a frame. The work that decides whether you can still see comfortably in six months happens at the fitting bench and in the follow-up — so that's where we put our time. Spectacles, sunglasses, reading glasses, computer glasses, contact lenses and children's eyewear, all fitted in person.
Performance optics
Not every lens does the same job. A driver, a radiologist and a nine-year-old with fast-progressing myopia need three different designs — and the difference between a stock lens and a properly specified one shows up in how your eyes feel at nine in the evening, not at the counter. Single vision spectacles, bifocals, progressives, reading glasses, computer glasses and prescription sunglasses, all measured properly: fitting heights, vertex distance, pantoscopic tilt, frame wrap. As a direct outlet there's no distributor margin on top, which is how premium lenses stay reasonable here.

Myopia Control Clinic
Spectacle-based myopia management for children, with all three major lens designs on the shelf rather than whichever one we happen to stock — plus low-dose atropine and orthokeratology through our clinical partner.
Specialised Contact Lenses
We keep an unusually wide range — daily and monthly soft lenses, toric for astigmatism, multifocal, cosmetic tints, and specialised designs for keratoconus and other irregular corneas.
Progressives for screen work
If you're on a monitor eight hours a day, a standard progressive will fight you. Office and computer-specific designs widen the intermediate zone where your screen actually sits.
Kids' eyewear that survives kids
Flexible, near-unbreakable frames sized for children, dispensed alongside the paediatric eye department at Bhaskar EyeCare so the prescription and the frame are decided together.
Dry Eye management
Screen-related and age-related dry eye assessed and managed in collaboration with Bhaskar EyeCare, Thane — because the right lens won't help if the tear film is the real problem.
Tree of Sight
Our frame-donation programme. Donate a frame you no longer wear, or sponsor a new one, and a child identified through a school screening camp gets spectacles made to their own prescription.
Myopia Control Clinic
A child's spectacle number doesn't have to keep climbing every year.
Standard single vision lenses correct the blur but do nothing about the eye continuing to grow. Myopia control lenses are designed to do both, and there is now good randomised evidence behind them. All three work by putting a treatment zone around a clear central optic — the difference is how that zone is built.

Tree of Sight
“Shine a Light,
with the Tree of Sight.”
A pair of spectacles sitting unused in your drawer is, for a child in a municipal school, the difference between reading the blackboard and quietly falling behind. That's the whole idea. Every leaf on our storefront glass is a pair that found someone.
- 1Donate or sponsor a frame
Bring in a pair you no longer wear, or sponsor a new one, at either outlet.
- 2We match it to a child
Identified through a school screening camp, and glazed to their own prescription.
Inside the store
Two Premium ZEISS Stores in Thane.
Both outlets carry the same range, and prescriptions are made to order rather than pulled from a stock tray. That is what lets us take on the awkward ones — high powers, strong cylinders, thin profiles on a rimless frame — without talking you into a compromise.
- 01Made-to-order prescription lenses
Ordered to your exact numbers from the manufacturer, so a difficult prescription isn't turned away at the counter.
- 02The full coating range
Blue-light filtering, anti-glare for night driving, and digital designs for close screen work.
- 03A lens thickness demonstrator
You see the difference between index options on the counter, before you pay for it.
- 04Fitted by our own dispensing team
The same people every visit, with more than ten years on the floor between them — not a counter assistant.

Common questions
Before you come in.
Which myopia control lenses do you fit?
All three of the major spectacle-based systems: ZEISS MyoCare and MyoCare S, HOYA MiyoSmart, and Essilor Stellest. We also offer low-dose atropine and orthokeratology through our clinical partnership with Bhaskar EyeCare. Which approach suits a particular child depends on their prescription, age, rate of progression and how they use their eyes — so we don't decide that before the examination.
Do you charge for a contact lens fitting?
No. The trial fitting session with a senior optometrist is free, and that includes teaching you insertion, removal and care. It matters more than most people expect — a well-prescribed lens fitted badly is still uncomfortable.
Can you make lenses for keratoconus or corneal ectasia?
Yes. Specialised contact lens designs for irregular corneas are one of the things we're set up for. These fittings take time and usually need more than one visit, so it's worth calling ahead on +91 86557 02979.
Which outlet should I go to?
Whichever one is closer to you. Both are Premium ZEISS Stores and both carry the same range — spectacle lenses, myopia control lenses, the full contact lens range, progressives, kids' frames and sunglasses. Ghodbunder Road (Ovala) suits you if you live along the Ghodbunder corridor; Bhaskar Colony is easier from central Thane and sits alongside the Bhaskar EyeCare clinical team, which helps if you're combining the visit with an eye examination or a paediatric appointment.
Are you an authorised ZEISS outlet?
Yes. We're a ZEISS Vision Partner, and both our outlets — Ghodbunder Road and Bhaskar Colony — are Premium ZEISS Stores, so ZEISS prescription lenses can be ordered and demonstrated at either one.
Do you dispense children's frames?
Yes — flexible, impact-resistant frames sized for children, dispensed alongside the paediatric eye department at Bhaskar EyeCare so that the frame, the lens and the prescription are decided as one thing rather than three.
Do you do eye tests?
Yes, by appointment. Eye testing and refraction are available at both outlets with an optometrist — message us on WhatsApp or call +91 86557 02979 and we will book you a slot rather than have you wait at the counter.
Do you sell sunglasses?
Yes — prescription sunglasses, polarised lenses for driving and glare, and photochromic lenses that darken outdoors and clear indoors. Plain non-prescription sunglasses too. See the sunglasses section.
What are your opening hours?
Both outlets are open Monday to Saturday, 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. Closed on Sunday.
Where is your optical shop in Thane?
Two outlets, both in Thane West. Ghodbunder Road: 2nd Floor, Synergy Healthcare, opposite Harmony Residences at Swastik Gloria, Ovala. Bhaskar Colony: 1st Floor, Padmanabh Society, opposite Godbole Heart Hospital, off Teen Hath Naka.
Come and try a few on.
