An optician, not a frame shop

We are a dispensing optical shop first. Opticians who spend their day at the fitting bench rather than at the till, in an optical store where the lens conversation happens before the frame one.

How we ended up doing it this way

Most optical retail is set up around moving frames. The lens gets chosen in the last two minutes of the sale, the measurements get taken quickly, and the customer finds out six weeks later that something isn't right — by which point nobody wants to reopen it.

We built the opposite way round. The frame is the easy part and the fun part; you should absolutely enjoy choosing it. But the lens specification and the measurements behind it are what decide whether you're still comfortable in that pair a year from now, so that's where the time goes.

What being a ZEISS Vision Partner means in practice

Both our outlets are Premium ZEISS Stores, which means the full ZEISS lens portfolio can be specified, demonstrated and ordered at either one. Practically, it means we can take on prescriptions that get turned away elsewhere — high powers, strong cylinders, thin profiles on rimless frames — because the lens is made to order against your numbers rather than picked from whatever a stock tray happens to hold.

The clinical side

We work alongside Bhaskar EyeCare, Thane. Their paediatric eye department backs our children's dispensing and the myopia control clinic; their clinical team handles dry eye management and anything that needs prescribing or medical follow-up. It's the reason a child on myopia control here gets reviewed on a schedule rather than when the glasses stop working, and the reason we can offer low-dose atropine and orthokeratology alongside spectacle lenses instead of referring you out and losing sight of the case.
